Great food and produce. Very convenient location and free parking. The bakery and deli have a great selection and the beer and wine selection are pretty good too.
One of the best malls around! Went here many times including Black Friday (which was a zoo), but aside from that there are many unique stores and there are many to choose from! Food has improved a lot and parking is not a problem at all!
If you want a high line grocery store and reasonable prices check it out.
Tysons Corner Mall is my favorite mall, by far. It has a great selection of stores - all you'd ever need, really!
I love Tyson's. It is large, metro-accessible, and full of fun stores. There's a Uniqlo, which kind of has beige sack clothes now instead of good clothes but hey, oh well, gotta love the heat tech. I have also gone for the Pottery Barn children's store. There is also a great Indian restaurant in the mall near a wonderful Korean bakery. There is something for everyone!
For comparison locally, I think Montgomery Mall near Bethesda is better looking (their new food court is gorgeous), but it just doesn't have any obscure stores (like Uniqlo).
I really like this mall, but it's not as nice as I expected coming into it. I've heard plenty about Tysons corner since I worked in retail in Bethesda years ago, and Tysons is the location of many flagship stores from some of the biggest brands. It's also the 9th largest mall in the country, so I had some high expectations.
I grew up going to this mall, and I've seen it change over the years. Some things that set it apart, other than its store selection, include its cleanliness, and how it's just busy enough that you run into friends often, but rarely is it ever too busy. The one exception I've found is Christmas Eve - for some reason I love going here the night before Christmas to do some last-minute shopping, and it's truly packed! However, they hire parking personnel to direct traffic, and there are a ton of parking garages, so I've never struggled to find a spot, even when it is at its busiest.
If you're looking for a one stop shop kind of experience, Tysons is it. If you have a few specific stores you want to go to, you'd be better off just going to a local mall that has them.
I highly recommend checking out this mall - whether you're window shopping or on a mission, it's a great place to spend some time!
Aesthetically, it didn't quite meet those expectations. However, on the function of being a good mall, it did amazing! The simple fact is that every store you could ever want is here. It's a huge mall, and most retail chains put stores here. Since there are a lot of "flagship" stores, I expected some pretty impressive locations but I found that wasn't really the case. Most were just standard versions of the types of stores that exist in any mall. While the aesthetics are pretty standard, the fact that you can find just about anything is pretty awesome and convenient.
