I have no problems with the equipment for work and for my personal workouts.
You get what you pay for at this gym. It is inexpensive and the facility itself is a bit run down. They have machines, weights, classes, etc. just no bells and whistles. But, like I said, it's pretty inexpensive so you can't have really high expectations. I have been a member for years and was fine with it's "rough around the edges" state. But, most recently they been having issues with the AC. The classroom has been dangerously warm for doing high intensity cardio classes, like I came close to passing out due to the heat. I've complained to the front desk regarding the situation, they contend they have no control over the temperature, the building does so there's not anything that can be done. So i was happy to learn that they were actually fixing the issue this week. I came in on Monday to go to my class and there was a sign (a small one that many people obviously missed) at the front desk saying there were no classes until further notice because they were fixing the AC. However, they didn't bother to tell any of the 10+ people in the actual classroom waiting for class to begin. A little better communication would have been better here. But excited to not have to worry about getting a heat stroke when I take a class now!
Four stars because it's a good value. Excellent gym for weight lifters. However the water fountains are warm and the heat/air conditioning is never quite right, terrible in extreme temperatures.
Dated equipment, low ceilings, and old, small, locker rooms. There are plenty of better gym options in Tysons.
Good basic gym... plenty of equipment, reasonable fees, no sales pressure. Basement setting a little dark...
Disclaimer, I work here as a Personal trainer. During the times of my personal workouts, I rarely had a problem with waiting for equipment. The members here are an older crowd, mainly people that work in the building or super close, not many residential members. This being said, the busy time is between 5-7pm.
